Postpartum Stress Center (PPSC)
The Postpartum Stress Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of prenatal and postpartum depression and anxiety disorders. In addition to this specialty the PPSC offers a full range of general counseling services to any individual or couple seeking support. The PPSC was founded and is run by Karen Kleiman, a noted social worker who has worked with women and postpartum issues for over 20 years. Ms. Kleiman has written several outstanding books about postpartum depression which are available on her website. Also included are a diagnostic tool and links to other resources.
Postpartum Support International (PSI)
PSI is a not-for-profit whose mission is to advocate, educate, and provide support for maternal mental health. The purpose of the organization is to increase awareness among public and professional communities about the emotional changes that women experience during pregnancy and postpartum.
