A nationally known leadership strategist, Rebecca Shambaugh has over twenty years of experience helping organizations and executives respond to critical leadership challenges and opportunities in today’s business environment. Rebecca is President and CEO of SHAMBAUGH, where she founded Women In Leadership and Learning (WILL), an organization dedicated to the research, advancement, and retention of women leaders and executives. Throughout her career, Rebecca has coached and worked with top senior executives on timely leadership areas such as crisis and change management, communications strategies, culture development, human capital development, and corporate governance. Prior to starting her own company, she worked for such premier organizations as General Motors, Fairchild Industries, and Amax Inc. as a senior executive in the leadership and human resources arena. Rebecca is known for her groundbreaking 21st Century Inclusionary. Rebecca founded the first executive leadership development program in the country devoted exclusively to optimizing the leadership skills of executive women, her WILL programs are must-attend events for women leaders.

She has been featured in such known publications as Leader to Leader, New York Times, Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, USA Today, Washington Business Journal, Fortune Magazine, Fast Company, Pink Magazine, American Executive Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, American Management Association, Computer World and Professional Woman’s Magazine.
Rebecca is author of her upcoming book, Raising Off The Sticky Floor – The Sky Is The Limit. This book is flagged as a potential best seller by its publisher, McGraw Hill. This book will illustrate her unconventional approach towards women in leadership. It brings to life her organization’s leadership programs for women and the thousands of speaking engagements she's given around the nation for the past 15 years, which focus on how women can get unstuck, empowered, move up, and prosper in their career.
Rebecca currently serves on the Boards of Visitors for both Marymount University and George Mason University. Rebecca also serves on the advisory boards of several early-stage companies and is a member of the Virginia Roundtable. She has served in prior Chairperson roles for the Northern Virginia Technology Council’s Human Resource Advisory Board and the Board of Trade’s Leadership and Retention Board. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Relations from Purdue University and a Masters of Arts Degree in Organizational Development from Marymount University.
