The nonprofit organization, Guide Dogs of the Desert, has committed to provide Orientation & Mobility training, Basic Lifeskills training, and at least 20% of their available guide dogs each year for blinded veterans. This includes veterans who have suffered traumatic brain injury who may be blind but not considered 'legally blind', because their eyes may be functioning but their brains do not translate the visual images.
