Events & Announcements: Inputs Needed for Reference Handbook

Hello to my network of military women! I have been hired by Praeger Security International to write a book called Women in the U.S. Armed Forces: A Reference Handbook, and I need your help.

I am getting data from DMDC on their most recent sexual harassment survey, but I would like to include some real life case studies. I have prepared a short survey instrument, and I request that you complete it.

Please note that I would like you to complete the survey even if you never had what you considered to be a sexual harassment moment.

If you had an inappropriate proposition, how did you deal with it? For example, once when I was on a deployment, I was solicited for sex by a senior officer. I just told him no, and that was the end of it. Did I consider it harassment? No, but I certainly did not appreciate the implications of his request! So, I am interested in those stories as well.

If possible, please pass this along to your network of military women friends and acquaintances, so that I will be able to acquire a larger input to my research.
